EUROPEAN UNION PROGRAM ERASMUS +

At Marin Barleti University, academic engagement is closely linked to international cooperation. The internationalization of the University and the Students is also in function of the international accreditation of the University.

UMB considers internationalization as one of the important aspects of the institutional strategy, due to the fact that developing ways to increase the benefits that come with internationalization, while reducing the risks and obstacles, has become an important challenge for higher education everywhere. Moreover, the current job market requires graduates to have international, foreign language skills to interact in an international environment.

Initiatives such as the Fulbright Scholars Program in the United States and the Erasmus Mundus, Erasmus + Program in Europe have aimed to foster mutual understanding and encourage cooperation between higher education institutions. UMB in this context has focused its attention on student mobility and faculty as international research collaboration.

Student mobility is the most prominent part of internationalization, which in itself is more complex and diverse as it involves the inclusion of intercultural and international dimensions in extracurricular curricula, teaching, research and extracurricular activities, provision of joint programs, distance learning, etc. UMB aims through internationalization to improve students' skills, internationalization of curricula, increased research and knowledge.

In order to meet these objectives, UMB has signed memoranda / agreements of cooperation with many other international institutions.
