Within the Erasmus Staff Mobility program, the University of Sakarya in Turkey welcomed the academic and administrative staff of "Barleti" University between the dates 25.07.2022 - 29.07.2022.
Within this program, two lectures were held by lecturers Dr. Olta Murataj on the topic "The effects of demographic movement: family background, the patterns and changes. Rethinking the marriage patterns", and MP. Amir Mohammad Esmaeilakhtar on the topic "Digital entrepreneurship and the role of the government in supporting it", for students and staff of the Department of Political Science at the University of "Sakarya".
Also, within this program, trainings were held for the administrative staff Msc. Grejsa Dushku, Head of the Career and Alumni Office, and Msc. Marsela Behari, Assistant of the Rector's Office at Barleti University.
During the days of stay, the staff members were accompanied by the researcher Ensar Kıvarak, part of the Department of Political Sciences, who accompanied them during the days of stay at this University. During this visit, they were welcomed by the Erasmus office of the University of Sakarya, by Rümeysa Kiracı, Responsible for the Reception of Staff/students, as well as Prof. Çisem Bektur, Coordinator of this office.
In addition to the above activities, a friendly meeting was held with the head of the Political Science Department, Prof.Dr. Ferruh Tuzcuoğlu, with the vice head of this department Prof.Dr. Özer Köseoğlu and the profesor of this department Prof.Dr. Köksal Şahin, where the issues of the Balkans were discussed from an academic point of view related to history and politics.
Also, a meeting was held with the Head of the Library of the University of Sakarya, Mrs. Zeliha Köksal, and they visited the library in the company of Mr. Tacettin Akdere. During this meeting, the possibilities of cooperation between the libraries of the two universities were discussed, which was welcomed by both parties.
Another fruitful meeting was at the Diaspora Research Center directed by Prof.Dr. Bünyamin Bezci, where an academic discussion table was held between the head of this center and Dr. Orkhan Valiyev. Cultural and sociological issues related to the Balkans, mainly Albania and Turkey, were discussed. The staff of this center donated some of their academic publications to the Barleti University library.
Another important point during this visit was the invitation of the Department of Political Sciences to lecturer Dr. Olta Murataj as a representative of Barleti University and researcher in Social Sciences, to be part of the editorial board in the scientific journal of this Department.
At the end of this program, visits were made to other faculties such as the Faculty of Law, the School of Business, the Faculty of Social Sciences, where the presentations of the academic, research and support structures for training and business support at Barleti University were held.
